Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada

The CBC Legacy Fund provides scholarships of $500 for students who are enrolled in theological,
biblical or discipleship programs that equip men and women to live as disciples of Jesus Christ,
through spiritual formation, biblical knowledge, Christian service, and intentional community.
These awards are distributed on a “first come, first serve” basis, and are intended to support the
discipleship of students who are affiliated with Evangelical Covenant Churches within the
Canadian Conference. A limited number of awards have been reserved for the descendants of
CBC Alumni who reside in Canada or who are attending Canadian programs that meet the CBC
Legacy Fund qualifications.

This application must be completed in full, and must be accompanied by:

1. A two page single spaced essay describing how the chosen program corresponds to the
purpose of the fund: equipping men and women to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, through
spiritual formation, biblical knowledge, Christian service and intentional community.

If you have received the scholarship before you may alternatively answer the following question: How has your program been a challenge to your faith and how has it encouraged you as a disciple? What have you learned about being a disciple of Jesus Christ? This must also be two pages and single spaced.

2. A Nomination provided by an Evangelical Covenant Church pastor within the Canadian
Conference (or, in the case of a CBC Alumni descendant who is not attending an
Evangelical Covenant Church, a Nomination from your home church pastor). This
document is available for download at www.canadacovenantchurch.org.

3. A complete application turned in by December 9, 2011.
