WM is Women supporting Women
What does that look like? In one area it may means helping groups of women reach out to their community with the gospel, or lend a helping hand, assist marginalized women enter more fully into life, create safe spaces for women who are trapped by domestic violence or the sex trade, or women who are working overseas as missionaries and in need of connection and financial assistance. We are self supportive within the Conference and take on projects by faith to carry out our vision. WM throughout our denomination has these focus areas, ideally led by a person with passion toward this who then is part of the leadership team.
Growth:
Key in this area is our Ministry Coach Jenell Pluim. She’s a Life Coach, former teacher and missionary, and offers her time, experience and training. Women, both individually or groups, who would like some help on making ideas come to life, or get out of a rut, may find she has just the help they need. To find out more view her introductory video on our facebook page “women in touch”
Equipping:
We have committed to provide extra funds for “Life together House”, 2 discipleship homes (Calgary & Winnipeg) for young adults.
Each year we assist in the travel of Ordinand Spouses so they can join in the joy of the ordination ceremony.
Global :
Every 3 years the women of the Canada Conference are partnered with 2 career Covenant missionaries and a retired missionary. Each career SIM is invited to submit a $300 US project that will enhance their ministries. In addition, each SIM receives a $25 US birthday gift.
Here are our new SIMs for 2011- 2014
We as women of the Canadian Conference have the privilege of partnering with two active SIM (Special Interest Missionary) serving in our Covenant mission fields. In addition we are partnered with a retired SIM. Every three years each Conference receives new SIMs.
We have the privilege of introducing you to our new SIMs for the years 2011-2014:

Compassion, Mercy and Justice
We support:
“Educate the Girls” in the Congo. In third world countries it is crucial to be educated in order to rise above the dangers of human slavery.
AVA Canada, which reaches out to women in domestic abuse and teaches churches to become advocates as well.
REED- BC, where Michelle Miller leads out in breaking the chains of women and children trapped in the sex trade
